Actor Denies Anti-Vax Views Following Lending His Voice To Contentious Pandemic Documentary
The acclaimed actor has given his vocal talents to a recent film that casts doubt on the legitimacy of immunizations and lauds one-time health official the political figure.
The Documentary's Provocative Foundation
Titled "Plague of Corruption," the documentary is inspired by a well-known publication published by a disgraced researcher, who became famous during the global outbreak for allegations that the virus was a result of a problematic version of the flu vaccine.
Her collaborator, Kent Heckenlively, has penned books with controversial media personality the Infowars host. He recently posted praising Neeson's role in the documentary.
A Strong Rebuttal
A spokesperson for Liam Neeson have issued a response pushing back against claims that he supports anti-immunization beliefs.
"Everyone can understand that unethical practices may occur within the drug industry, but that must not be conflated with rejection of vaccines," the comment explains. "Liam is not, and is not, anti-vax. His long work with the global charity highlights his enduring support for global immunisation initiatives."
The response continued that the performer did not shape the project's editorial content and that inquiries about its assertions should be directed to the creators.
Key Claims Featured in the Documentary
As presented, the narration spoken by Neeson makes several provocative statements:
- It suggests that pro-vaccine voices have called for "unconditional submission" to health authorities.
- It declares that "science has become dangerously politicised."
- Kennedy is featured saying, "The major issue with vaccines is that they just aren't properly vetted."
- It further attacks pandemic restrictions, saying they caused psychological harm that cost thousands of lives.
- Regarding Covid vaccines, it cites a view that they were "rushed to market" and seen as "hazardous tests."
Historical Controversy and Ongoing Disputes
It includes a past television report about clinical trials on children, which was afterwards the focus of a BBC apology by the corporation for unbalanced reporting.
In recent weeks, RFK Jr instructed the CDC to change its official position that there is no causal relationship between immunizations and autism. This claim is echoed in the documentary, despite a fresh analysis from the WHO reiterating no evidence has been found.
A Past Record of Support
Differing from the film's message, Neeson has previously expressed firm endorsement for vaccines in his role as a charity ambassador.
Two years ago, he called vaccines as "a remarkable achievement," adding that "The debate about vaccines in the past few years has overlooked how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest shared accomplishments in our history."
The film finishes with Neeson's narration saying, "This marks not the finish of our story. It is the dawn of a different phase."
