Anti-Aircraft Efforts and Drone Downings

The Ukrainian air defences neutralized fifty-four of seventy-eight Russian drones launched targeting the country overnight, the air force reported on Saturday.

Russia's defence ministry stated it eliminated 42 drones over the country's airspace.

Cuba Denies Allegations of Deploying Troops to Ukraine

Havana on the weekend denied US allegations it has deployed soldiers to engage in the conflict in Ukraine, while stating Cuban authorities "do not have accurate details about Cuban nationals" involved "independently" or "in the military forces of the conflicting parties".

The government department in the capital said 26 Cubans had been sentenced to incarceration from five up to fourteen years for participating as mercenaries since last September when news circulated of Cubans being dispatched to the battlefield in Ukraine.
