The Streaming Giant Selects Spot-On Star for Bon Clay in One Piece Season 3
Baroque Works is geared up to make a major impact in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, even if the real showdown isn’t set to occur until the third season, and a cherished, popular member has just been cast.
The streaming service revealed recently that the skilled actor is now part of the One Piece season 3 cast and will portray Bon Clay. This character has the ability to transform into an identical duplicate of anyone they’ve made contact with with their right hand. The actor, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will portray a version of that character re-envisioned as non-binary identifying, instead of as a drag queen, in the real-life adaptation, differing from the original manga and anime.
The new cast member is joined by a number of recently announced actors set to bring the group to life, such as chief the main antagonist, played by Joe Manganiello, a talented actress as Miss Goldenweek, and a familiar face, who is also part of the cast as the monarch of Alabasta.
Although this character is a major member of the organization, the individual won’t make their debut One Piece season 3. Considering the next season set to cover the Little Garden storyline, this marks a major departure in the placement of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could indicate additional alterations to the story’s structure.
Their mix of precise humor and emotional depth makes them a ideal selection for the part. Along with their latest vocal work in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and multiple awards for writing and starring in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, highlighting the range they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s widely praised characters.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece series is set to return for its next installment on March 10, 2026.
